Justin Andrew Honard is an American drag queen known by the stage name Alaska 5000. He is best known as a runner-up on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Alaska Thunderfuck is the winner of its second season of All-Stars. Honard was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. He is of Russian descent on his mother's side. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. Honard's Drag Race journey began in early 2012 when he auditioned for the fifth season of the show. He was selected as one of the 14 queens who would compete in the season.
Honard was a fan favorite throughout the season, and he made it to the final three. He ultimately lost to Jinkx Monsoon in the Lip Sync for Your Life challenge, but he won over fans with his sense of humor and positive attitude. After the season ended, Honard was announced as a cast member of the first season of All Stars and thrived on Youtube. He won the season, becoming the first queen to win both a season of Drag Race and All-Stars. Honard has since gone on to tour the world with his drag show, and he has appeared in several films and television shows.
