After more than a decade of perfecting her art and taking an introductory class with her father, the Californian artist embarked on stand-up comedy at only 16 years old, never looking back. She was a stand-up comedian in Los Angeles before becoming a writer and performer on the MTV sketch comedy series Wild 'n Out. She has also appeared on the Comedy Central sketch comedy series Key & Peele and the Netflix original series Disjointed. Tomlinson was born in San Diego, California. Her father is of English and Irish descent and her mother is of Mexican descent. She was raised in Los Angeles, California.
