Seth Aaron Rogen is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He began his career performing stand-up comedy during his teenage years. While still living in his native Vancouver, he landed a supporting role in Judd Apatow's series Freaks and Geeks. Shortly after he moved to Los Angeles for his role, Freaks and Geeks was officially canceled after one season due to low viewership. Rogen later got a part on another Apatow series, Undeclared, which also hired him as a staff writer. After landing his job as a writer on the final season of Da Ali G Show, Apatow guided him toward a film career. Rogen made his first film appearance in Donnie Darko with a minor role in 2001. Rogen was cast in a supporting role and credited as a co-producer in Apatow's directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. After Rogen received critical praise for his performance, Universal Pictures agreed to cast him as the lead in Apatow's films Knocked Up and Funny People. Rogen has also done voice work for the films Horton Hears a Who!, Kung Fu Panda, Paul, and Sausage Party. He has served as a producer on numerous films, including Superbad, Pineapple Express, Drillbit Taylor, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Observe and Report, The Green Hornet, This Is the End, Neighbors, Sausage Party, and The Disaster Artist. He also created or co-created the television series Preacher with his writing partner Evan Goldberg and produced the films Bad Neighbours and its sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. In 2016, Rogen and Goldberg created the pilot for AMC's television adaptation of the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon comic book series Preacher. Rogen has been married to writer-actress Lauren Miller since October 2, 2011. Rogen supports various causes and has worked with PETA, Habitat for Humanity, and the Alzheimer's Association.
