Russell Joseph Howard is a British comedian, actor, radio presenter, and television presenter best known for his appearances on Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Good News. He has also appeared in the BBC Three comedy series Russell Howard’s Good News, which ran from 2009 to 2015. Howard began his career in stand-up comedy in 2000, performing at small venues across the UK. Russell Howard won the BBC New Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Russell Howard was nominated for a Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In 2006, Russell Howard made his debut appearance on Mock The Week and went on to become one of its most popular panelists over the next few years.
He then went on to host his show, Russell Howard's Good News, which ran from 2009 until 2015 and earned him three British Comedy Awards nominations as well as a BAFTA nomination for Best Entertainment Performance. Since then he has gone on to perform sell-out tours across Europe and Australia including Wonderbox (2009–10), Right Here Right Now (2012–13), and Round The World (2015).
