Phil Hanley is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer who has been making audiences around the world laugh since he started performing in 2006. He began his career by performing at open mics around Vancouver, often in between bands at music venues. After a few years of honing his craft in Canada, Phil decided to take his comedy to the US. His first stop was Los Angeles, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the funniest up-and-coming comedians. He has since performed on some of the biggest stages in comedy, including The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Comedy Central’s @midnight and Conan O’Brien Presents: Team Coco Live. Phil has been featured on numerous Phil Hanley shows and podcasts including The Joe Rogan Experience, You Up? With Nikki Glaser, WTF with Marc Maron, and Comedy Bang! Bang!. He also voiced characters on Netflix's Big Mouth and Hulu's Solar Opposites. In 2019 Phil released his first hour-long special ‘The Set Up’ which premiered on Comedy Central.
The special was well received by critics and fans alike and earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. Phil is currently touring the US with his live show ‘The Best Of Phil Hanley’ which features some of his best material from over the years as well as brand new jokes that have never been seen before. He has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy such as Hannibal Buress, Bill Burr, and Maria Bamford among many others. In 2021 Phil will be returning to Canada to perform at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal before heading back out on tour across North America later this year. 2023 will see Phil embarking on an extensive world tour taking him all around Europe, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand for the first time!
