Patricia Williams, better known as Ms. Pat, is an American stand-up comedian and actress who has been making audiences laugh since her debut in 2000. She is best known for her roles on The Ms. Pat Show and the podcast The Patdown with Ms. Pat. Her career began when she appeared in the film Friday After Next and was a series regular on the Showtime comedy show Barbershop. Since then, she has gone on to appear in numerous television shows and films such as Black Jesus, Last Comic Standing, and The League. Ms. Pat has had an incredible career that continues to grow each year. She released her first album, Rabbit: The Album in 2015 which received widespread critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. She also released a comedy special called “Rabbit” which was filmed at Atlanta’s historic Fox Theatre and featured some of her most popular stand-up routines. In 2017, she released her second album “Baked Goods” which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album of the Year.
Ms. Pat has been nominated for many awards throughout her career including an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on Black-ish in 2018, two NAACP Image Awards nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series (for The Ms. Pat Show) in 2020 and 2021, as well as being named one of Variety Magazine's 10 Comics To Watch in 2016. In addition to acting and stand-up comedy, Ms. Pat is also an author having released two books: "Rabbit: A Memoir" which tells the story of how she overcame poverty and drug addiction to become one of today's most successful comedians; and "Failing Up: How To Take Risks And Achieve Success." She also hosts the podcast “The Patdown with Ms.Pat” where she interviews celebrities about their lives and careers while providing comedic relief along the way!
