Mike Ward is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, and television presenter. He has been active in the entertainment industry since the early 2000s when Just first discovered him For Laughs. His career took off from there as he performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals worldwide, including Montreal's Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mike also had his own show on CBC Radio called The Mike Ward Show, which ran for four seasons and earned him two Gemini Awards. In 2013, Mike released his debut album entitled “Love Me I’m Famous” which won an Independent Music Award for Best Comedy Album. His follow-up album “Hate Me I’m Famous” was released in 2017 and received a nomination for Best Comedy Album at the 2018 Juno Awards.
In addition to his albums, Mike has also starred in several TV shows such as The Beaverton and Hotbox on CBC Television. He has also appeared on several talk shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Live! Mike's success hasn't gone unnoticed - he was awarded Comedian of the Year at the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2014 and was nominated for a Juno Award for Best Comedy Album in 2018.
