Michelle Buteau is an American stand-up comedian, actress, television host, and podcast host who has been performing for over two decades. She is best known for her roles on the Netflix series Russian Doll and Comedy Central’s Key & Peele. Michelle's career began in the early 2000s when she performed stand-up comedy at various venues across the United States. Since then, she has gone on to become a well-known face in the comedy world. In 2018, Michelle was cast as a series regular in Netflix's Russian Doll where she played the role of Maxine, a friend of protagonist Nadia Vulvokov (played by Natasha Lyonne). The Michelle Buteau shows earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and was nominated for several awards including Outstanding Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards. Michelle also hosted Comedy Central's Key & Peele which ran for five seasons between 2012 and 2015.

In addition to her film work, Michelle has also made numerous television appearances.
