Kendrick Kang-Joh Jeong, better known as 'Ken Jeong', is an American stand-up comedian, actor, producer, writer, and licensed physician. He is best known for his roles in the comedy films The Hangover (2009) and Crazy Rich Asians (2018). He has also appeared in numerous television series such as Community (2009–2015), Dr. Ken (2015–2017), and The Masked Singer (2019–present). Jeong was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. After graduating from Duke University School of Medicine in 1995, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans while developing his stand-up comedy career. In 2009, Jeong made his film debut with the hit movie The Hangover which earned him a nomination for the MTV Movie Award for Best WTF Moment. His performance as Leslie Chow earned him critical acclaim and established him as a comedic actor. Following The Hangover's success, Jeong starred in several other comedies including All About Steve (2009) and Ride Along 2 (2016). He also appeared on various television shows such as Community, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hot In Cleveland, and more recently The Masked Singer. In 2018 he starred alongside Constance Wu in the hit romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians which grossed over $238 million worldwide! This role earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
