John Samuel Waters Jr. who was on born April 22, 1946 is an American filmmaker, writer, actor, and artist. He is famous for his cult films Hairspray, Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, and Polyester. Waters had a private education at the Baltimore-based Calvert School. Upon graduating from Towson Jr. He attended Boys' Latin School of Maryland and Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland before graduating. He frequently traveled into downtown Baltimore as a kid to Martick's, a beatnik pub, where he and Milstead first met many of the people they would eventually work with on films.
