Jimmy Dunn is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is known for his roles in the television sitcoms Roseanne (1988–1997) and Home Improvement (1991–1999).
Dunn began his stand-up comedy career while working as a doorman at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. He rose to prominence after appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1986. He made his acting debut in the 1988 sitcom Roseanne, playing the role of Mark Healy, the boyfriend (and later husband) of Roseanne Conner (played by Roseanne Barr). He appeared in a total of 200 episodes of the show over nine seasons.
In 1991, Dunn began appearing in the sitcom Home Improvement as Tim Taylor's friend and neighbor, Al Borland. He appeared in 200 episodes of the show over eight seasons.
Dunn has also guest-starred in a number of other television shows, including The Drew Carey Show, Dharma & Greg, and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
In recent years, Dunn has appeared in a number of films, including Soul Plane (2004), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), and Little Miss Sunshine (2006).
