Jean-Thomas Jobin is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor who has been performing since the early 2000s. He gained recognition for his role in the popular sitcom, La Petite Vie, where he played the character of Jérôme. Since then, Jean-Thomas has become one of Canada’s most beloved comedians. His unique style of comedy combines observational humor with political satire and social commentary. In 2003, Jean-Thomas released his first stand-up special entitled “Le Monde de Jean-Thomas Jobin” which was broadcast on Radio Canada. This special earned him a nomination for the prestigious Gémeaux Award for Best Comedy Show. In 2006, he made his feature film debut with “La Grande Séduction” which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He went on to star in several other films including “Ce Qui Nous Lie” (2009) and “La Guerre des Tuques 3D” (2015).
Jean-Thomas has also released two studio albums: “Ça va bien aller!” (2007) and “Tout est possible!” (2012). Both albums received critical acclaim and earned him numerous awards including the Félix Award for Album of the Year in 2012. His live shows have also been incredibly successful; he has performed at sold-out venues across Canada as well as internationally in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. In 2023, Jean-Thomas will be embarking on a world tour to promote his upcoming comedy show entitled “Le Monde de Jean-Thomas Jobin 2023".
