Donnell M. Rawlings is an American comedian, actor, and radio host. He is best known for his roles as Ashy Larry on the Chapelle's Show and Clay Davis on The Wire. He has also appeared in films such asSpider-Man 3, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and Baby Driver. Rawlings was born in Washington, D.C., on October 23, 1970, and grew up in Arlington, Virginia. He attended Wakefield High School and then George Mason University, where he studied business administration. After college, Rawlings worked as a paralegal for a law firm in Washington, D.C., before moving to New York City to pursue a career in comedy. Rawlings made his television debut on the MTV show Yo! MTV Raps in 1992. He has since appeared on numerous television shows, including Law & Order, The Cosby Show, Friends, and 30 Rock. He has also had roles in the films Spider-Man 3 (2007), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), and Baby Driver (2017). Rawlings currently hosts the podcast Ashy in the Air, and is a regular panelist on the television show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. He also has his own line of cigars, Ashy Larry's Smoke Shop, which he launched in 2015.
