David Wayne Spade is a stand-up comedian, television host, and writer from the United States. He is known for his sarcastic and observational humor. He attended Arizona State University, where he studied business and marketing. Upon graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. Spade's first major break came in 1988 when he was hired as a writer for the sketch comedy. He gained popularity in the 1990s as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. In the 1990s, he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and he later began an acting career in both film and television. He soon began appearing on the show as a featured player and became a regular cast member in 1991. His first major film role was in the 1996 comedy Tommy Boy, in which he co-starred with Chris Farley. He has also starred in such films as Black Sheep, Grown Ups, and Joe Dirt.
In addition to his TV and film work, Spade is also a successful stand-up comedian with hilarious jokes released in several comedy albums. He is currently working on his second book, titled David Spade Is Awesome (And You're Not). Spade was born in Birmingham, Michigan, and grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. Spade has released several David Spade tv shows, including Take the Hit (1997), David Spade: Live (2001), and White Man in Car (2005). He has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada, performing at such venues as Madison Square Garden and the Montreal Comedy Festival.
