Dana Carvey is a beloved comedian, actor, and writer who has been entertaining audiences since the mid-1980s. Born in Missoula, Montana in 1955, Carvey moved to San Carlos, California at the age of three. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in 1979 and quickly rose to fame with Saturday Night Live (SNL) appearances, where he was a cast member from 1986 to 1993. During his time at SNL, Dana Carvey created some of the most iconic characters, such as Church Lady, Garth Algar, Hans from Hans and Franz, The Grumpy Old Man, and more. Carvey's success continued after leaving SNL when he released two albums; "A Mighty Wind" in 1994 and "Guitar" in 1996. His album "A Mighty Wind" went platinum while "Guitar" was certified gold by RIAA. In addition to his music career, Carvey also starred in several movies such as Wayne's World 1 & 2, Clean Slate, and The Master of Disguise. In 2019, Dana Carvey returned to SNL for a guest appearance during the 44th season finale.
