Colin Kelly Jost is an American comedian, writer, and actor who has been making waves in the comedy industry. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Colin was first introduced to the world of comedy at a young age when he attended Harvard University and became a member of the Harvard Lampoon. After graduating from college in 2004, Colin began his career as a writer for Saturday Night Live (SNL). In 2005, he joined SNL's writing staff full-time. Over the years, he has written some of the show’s most memorable sketches including "The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started A Conversation With At A Party" and "Weekend Update". In 2014, Colin was promoted to co-head writer alongside Rob Klein. He also took over Weekend Update with Michael Che in 2014. As one of the longest-serving writers on SNL, Colin has won two Writers Guild of America Awards for Best Comedy/Variety Series and four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. In addition to his work on SNL, Colin has also written for films such as Spiderman: Homecoming (2017) and How To Be Single (2016). He also starred in movies like Staten Island Summer (2015) and Irreplaceable You (2018). Colin is currently touring across North America with his standup act. His tour will stop at various venues including The Wilbur Theatre in Boston, MA; The Bell House in Brooklyn; The Fillmore Detroit; The Vic Theatre in Chicago; The Neptune Theatre in Seattle; and many more! He will also be appearing as himself on Netflix’s hit series “Grace & Frankie” starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as well as Hulu’s “Animals” which is set to premiere later that year.
