About Brad Sherwood

Bradley Sherwood is an American comedian, actor, singer, game show host and writer. He is best known for his work on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Drew Carey Show, and GSN's The Newlywed Game. He has also appeared on other shows such as Scrubs, That '70s Show, and How I Met Your Mother.

Sherwood was born in Tarzana, California, the son of Joyce Patricia (née Bradley), a homemaker, and Gerald Stanley Sherwood, an insurance salesman. He has two sisters, Wendy and Julie. He was raised in the Jewish faith.

Sherwood attended William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre.

Sherwood's first professional job was as a warm-up comedian for The Newlywed Game starring Bob Eubanks. He later became a regular cast member on the British and American versions of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. He has also appeared on other improv shows such as Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza and Thank GOD You're Here.

Sherwood has hosted several game shows, including GSN's The Newlywed Game, TBS's Fake-A-Date, and the British version of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. He was also a contestant on Celebrity Jeopardy! in 2001.

In addition to his work in television, Sherwood has also appeared in several films, including An American Werewolf in London (1981), The Loners (1972), and The Buddy System (1984).
