Ben Schwartz is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is best known for his Emmy-winning performance as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. Schwartz began his career in comedy by performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City. He has since gone on to appear in films such as The Other Guys, This Is Where I Leave You, Night School, and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. He also voiced the character of Dewey Duck on Disney Channel's DuckTales reboot. In addition to acting, Schwartz has written for numerous TV shows including Robot Chicken and Parks & Recreation. He has also written two books: Things You Should Already Know About Dating, You F*cking Idiot, and Grandma’s Dead: Breaking Bad News with Baby Animals.
Schwartz has won several awards including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for his work on Netflix's BoJack Horseman. In 2017 he was nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on Parks & Recreation. 2023 will be another exciting year for fans of Ben Schwartz!
