Anjelah Johnson is a multi-talented star who has achieved much in her career. She is an actress, comedian, writer, and singer. She is best known for her stand-up comedy act as well as her roles in films and television. Anjelah's career began when she joined the sketch comedy show MADtv in 2007. She earned her first recurring role on the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement in 2013. As a stand-up comedian, Johnson has released several specials including That’s How We Do It! which was aired on Showtime, and Not Fancy which was available through Netflix. In 2016, Anjelah branched out into music with her debut album titled Gold Plated Dreams featuring 12 soulful original songs. Her second album American Goldy EP followed in 2018 and featured four inspiring tracks. Johnson has gone on tours all over North America with her hilarious stand-up routine including multiple runs at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Canada over the years. In 2019 she was nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ by Imagen Awards for her role in the romantic drama movie Back to the Jacuzzi which was released earlier that year to great critical acclaim. In 2020 Anjelah took a break from professional acting but still kept busy with online content, live-streaming videos, and hosting game nights throughout the pandemic. 2021 saw Johnson release two new singles "Go To Church" and "Snatch That". She is currently gearing up to appear at festivals across the U.S. this summer while working on more music!
