Alan Carr is a comedian, actor, and presenter from Weymouth, England. He first rose to fame in the early 2000s with his television show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, which aired on Channel 4 from 2009 to 2016. Since then, he has become one of the most popular British comedians in the world. Alan's career began when he was just 17 years old after winning a stand-up comedy competition at The Comedy Store in London. After this success, he went on to perform at various comedy clubs around England and soon gained recognition for his unique brand of observational comedy. In 2003, Alan released his debut album A Year Of Tears which featured some of his best work as a stand-up comedian. This album won him an award for Best Comedy Album at the British Comedy Awards that same year. In 2006, Alan released his second album Tooth Fairy which included some of his most memorable jokes and sketches.
This album was also very successful and earned him another nomination for Best Comedy Album at the British Comedy Awards. In addition to stand-up comedy albums, Alan has also released several books including Look Who It Is!, I Can't Sing!, and Alanatomy: The Inside Story Of Me! His books have all been bestsellers and have been translated into several different languages. In 2020, Alan starred in the Netflix special titled "Alan Carr: Not Again" which was well-received by fans and critics alike. Alan is currently on tour with his 2023 Stand Up Tour where he will be performing shows across the United Kingdom as well as overseas in Europe and Asia!
