From their home court at UCF's CFE Arena in Orlando, they have made strides both on and off the court over the last few decades. UCF Knights basketball team, under head coach Johnny Dawkins, was led by star players such as BJ Taylor and Tacko Fall who got them there. The Knights also enjoy strong regional rivalries with other teams from Florida: Miami Hurricanes, USF Bulls, and Florida Gators are all teams that challenge them every year for bragging rights in Central Florida. The Knights' collective achievements over time have been very impressed with several conference championships to show for it. They won their first AAC Championship title in 2017 followed by another AAC Championship run in 2019. Additionally, they boast three NIT titles, coming away with victories against David Lipscomb (2003), Old Dominion (2012), and Rutgers (2013).
