The Texas Tech Red Raiders football team plays for Texas Tech University in both the NCAA Division I FBS and the Big 12 Conference. The squad was founded in 1925.  Early programs created NFL-caliber players by focusing on aggressive defense and passing offenses.  The team's black and scarlet colors speak for pride in their sport, and things like the "Guns Up" hand signal get fans involved and give them a sense of identification.  The program has gotten increasingly competitive over the years, and it has played in national bowl games and continues to draw the best high school athletes from Texas and other states.

In 2021, the Red Raiders played in the Liberty Bowl, and in 2016, they played in the Birmingham Bowl. They have won 18 of the 38 bowl games they have played in.  Wes Welker, Michael Crabtree, and Patrick Mahomes are famous former students who have gone on to win Pro Bowls in the NFL.  The team's hallmark spread offense is shown by winning conference titles, having high-scoring offensive seasons, and having passing games that are ranked nationally.  Rivalry games against the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M get a lot of attention in the region and help the Red Raiders' brand grow nationally.

Jones AT&T Stadium has an average of 32 points scored each game and 24 points allowed per game on defense. Home games draw between 56,000 and 60,000 fans.  In fast-paced games, viewers see strong passing assaults, planned runs by the quarterback, and stops by the defense. Yadara offers Texas Tech Red Raiders football tickets, which provide access to high-stakes conference rivalries, fan customs, pregame celebrations, and live NCAA Division I football.
