The Liberty Flames Football program is located in beautiful Lynchburg, Virginia, and has long been a fixture in the Division I FBS level of competition. Since their inaugural season in 1973, they have built up a winning tradition that has seen them win multiple Big South Conference championships and bowl games. Their home field is Williams Stadium, which often sees a packed house as Liberty fans come out to cheer on their team every Saturday. The Flames also boast some intense rivalries with other regional teams like James Madison, Coastal Carolina, and Charlotte. Other key players include quarterback Malik Willis who threw for over 3100 yards along with 28 touchdown passes during his junior season alone, making him one of Liberty’s all-time greats at the position.
