East Carolina Pirates Football has a long and storied history. The team's first season was in 1932, and since then they have grown to become one of the most successful football programs in the southeast. Home games are played at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium located at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. The Pirates have many rivals including the North Carolina State Wolfpack, the South Carolina Gamecocks, and the Virginia Cavaliers. His top players include running back Rahjai Harris who led the team with 874 rushing yards last season and wide receiver Trevon Brown who had 935 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Offensive Coordinator Dave Nichol leads an experienced group of coaches including linebackers Coach Bob Trott who has more than 30 years of coaching experience at all levels of college football. Additionally, defensive coordinator Bob Paul joined ECU this year after spending two seasons at Baylor University directing one of the nation's best defenses that finished 15th nationally in total defense (326 ypg) during his tenure there.
