Alabama has showcased its prowess on the court with a total of eight Sweet 16 appearances in the NCAA Tournament. In the 2003–04 season, the team conquered #1-ranked Stanford in an NCAA tournament upset and progressed to Elite Eight round only to be stopped by eventual national champions, Connecticut.
