Established in August 2015, FC Cincinnati made its debut as an MLS team in 2019. The club won the Eastern Conference regular season title in its inaugural season. In 2017, the tension between Columbus and Cincinnati intensified as their two soccer teams – the Columbus Crew and the United Soccer League's Cincinnati FC – faced off in a U.S Open Cup match. In May 2018, FC Cincinnati was awarded an MLS expansion franchise that would begin play in 2019. The 2019 season was full of excitement at FC Cincinnati with Allan Cruz, Emmanuel Ledesma, Kekuta Manneh, and Darren Mattocks all making incredible strides for the team. All four players scored multiple goals that year, creating an unforgettable atmosphere in the stadium. FC Cincinnati is the latest professional soccer team to arrive in Queen City, and they have quickly become a fan favorite. Replacing an existing lower division team, FC Cincinnati has created new aspirations for a successful future in Major League Soccer. 

FC Cincinnati plays its home games at Nippert Stadium, a soccer-specific stadium located in the University Heights neighborhood of Cincinnati.
