The Tampa Tarpons are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League, founded in 1957. The Tarpons play their home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. They have been affiliated with the New York Yankees since 1994 and are known for their intense rivalry with the Clearwater Threshers. The Tampa Tarpons have an impressive history of success, having won five championships throughout their 63-year existence. Most recently, they won the FSL Championship in 2017 under head coach Michael Johns. This year’s roster is led by top players such as infielder Estevan Florial, outfielder Alexander Palma and pitcher Luis Gil.
