The Palm Beach Cardinals are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Founded in 1962, they have been playing professional baseball for over fifty years and have become one of the most successful teams in the league. The team plays its home games at Roger Dean Stadium, located in Jupiter, Florida. Over the years, the Cardinals have developed several rivalries with other teams in their conference, including Fort Myers Miracle, Clearwater Threshers, and Daytona Tortugas. The Cardinals are led by some of Minor League Baseball's top players such as pitcher Johan Oviedo who was named First Team All-FSL last season after recording a 3-2 record with a 4.41 ERA; infielder Elehuris Montero who had 11 home runs and 41 RBIs last season; outfielder Dylan Carlson who had 17 stolen bases last season; catcher Ivan Herrera who had a batting average of .286 last season; and pitcher Angel Rondon who recorded seven saves last season. As they look ahead to the 2024 season, Palm Beach Cardinals will be looking to continue their success from recent years while also building on their rich history of excellence.
