The Jupiter Hammerheads are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Founded in 1994, the Hammerheads have been playing professional baseball for over two decades and have become one of the most successful teams in the league. The team plays its home games at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, located on the Florida Atlantic University campus. Over the years, the Hammerheads have developed several rivalries with other teams in their conference, including Clearwater Threshers, Daytona Tortugas, and Palm Beach Cardinals. The Hammerheads are led by some of Minor League Baseball's top players such as outfielder Jesus Sanchez who was named First Team All-League last season after hitting .320 with 15 home runs; pitcher Sixto Sanchez who had a 3.46 ERA last year; shortstop Jazz Chisholm Jr., who had a .292 batting average; catcher Will Banfield who had four home runs; and infielder Victor Victor Mesa Jr., who had 33 RBIs last season. As they look ahead to the 2024 season, Jupiter Hammerheads will be looking to continue their success from recent years while also building on their rich history of excellence.
