About Everett AquaSox

The Everett AquaSox are a Minor League Baseball team in Everett, Washington. The AquaSox are the Short-Season A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. They play their home games at Funko Field at Everett Memorial Stadium in Everett. The AquaSox were founded in 1984 and have won eight league championships, most recently in 2010.

The AquaSox began as a member of the Northwest League's West Division in 1984. Everett won the West Division title in 1987 and 1988 behind the play of future Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Stars Ken Griffey Jr. and Tino Martinez. The team moved to the East Division in 1989, but returned to the West Division in 1990.

The AquaSox won their first East Division title in 1996 and their first West Division title in 1997. Everett won the East Division again in 1998 and the West Division in 1999. In 2000, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the sixth straight year, but lost in the first round.

The AquaSox won their seventh division title in 2001 and made it to the playoffs for the seventh straight year, but again lost in the first round. In 2002, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the eighth straight year, but lost in the first round.

The AquaSox finally broke through and won their first league championship in 2003. They beat the Spokane Indians in the West Division Finals and then defeated the Vancouver Canadians in the Championship Series.

The AquaSox won their second league championship in 2006. They beat the Yakima Bears in the West Division Finals and then defeated the Spokane Indians in the Championship Series.

In 2009, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the tenth time in team history, but lost in the first round. In 2010, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the eleventh time in team history and won their third league championship. They beat the Tri-City Dust Devils in the West Division Finals and then defeated the Vancouver Canadians in the Championship Series.

The AquaSox made it to the playoffs again in 2011, but lost in the first round. In 2012, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the thirteenth time in team history, but lost in the first round.

The AquaSox won their fourth league championship in 2013. They beat the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in the West Division Finals and then defeated the Vancouver Canadians in the Championship Series.

The AquaSox made it to the playoffs again in 2014, but lost in the first round. In 2015, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the fifteenth time in team history, but lost in the first round.

The AquaSox won their fifth league championship in 2016. They beat the Hillsboro Hops in the West Division Finals and then defeated the Vancouver Canadians in the Championship Series.

The AquaSox made it to the playoffs again in 2017, but lost in the first round. In 2018, the AquaSox made it to the playoffs for the seventeenth time in team history, but lost in the first round.

The AquaSox won their sixth league championship in 2019. They beat the Spokane Indians in the West Division Finals and then defeated the Vancouver Canadians in the Championship Series.

The AquaSox made it to the playoffs again in 2020, but lost in the first round. In 2021, the AquaSox will try to win their seventh league championship.
