The Eau Claire Express is a summer baseball team for college students that plays in the Northwoods League. The team is named for the city in which it plays its home games, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Express are members of the North Division of the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league consisting of teams from the Midwest and Upper Midwest regions of the United States.
Eau Claire is located in west-central Wisconsin about 90 miles (140 km) east of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. The city is situated on the confluence of the Chippewa and Eau Claire rivers. The Eau Claire Express play their home games at Carson Park, which is located on the city's west side. The park opened in 2002 and has a capacity of 3,200 people.
The Express were founded in 2007 and began play in the Northwoods League in 2008. The team has seen success on the field, making the playoffs in each of their first six seasons. In 2013, the Express won their first Northwoods League Championship.
Off the field, the Express are active in the community, hosting a variety of events and programs for fans and local organizations. The team also operates the Express Baseball Academy, a youth baseball camp that teaches the fundamentals of the game.
