Since 2015, the Hamilton Bulldogs have been a proud part of the OHL as one of their major junior ice hockey teams. Hamilton, Ontario's Bulldogs proudly take the ice at FirstOntario Centre for each of their home games. In March 2015, Michael Andlauer bought the team and moved it to Hamilton from Belleville after a lengthy 34-year stint as the Bulls. Andlauer, the owner of the Bulldogs hockey team, replaced their American Hockey League squad with a new one that wears the same name. From 1996 to 2015, the original team played in Hamilton. After that, they relocated to St. John's, Newfoundland, and Labrador where they assumed the mantle of the second version of the St. John's IceCaps with great success.
