The Topeka Tropics are a professional indoor football team based in Topeka, Kansas. The Tropics are part of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) league and play their home games at the Stormont Vail Events Center. The Tropics have been playing since 2018 and have quickly become one of the top teams in the league. They have won two CIF championships (2019 & 2020) and have made it to the playoffs every year since their inception. The team also boasts an impressive roster of talented players such as quarterback Brady White who was named CIF MVP in 2019, running back Kenneth Gainwell who was named First Team All-CIF last season, wide receiver Damonte Coxie who had 1,174 receiving yards last season, linebacker Austin Hall who led all defenders with 102 tackles, and cornerback TJ Carter who had three interceptions last season. The Tropics also have some exciting rivalries with other teams in their conference including Omaha Beef and Wichita Force.

Silverfield has already made his mark on the program by leading them to a winning record in his first season as head coach and earning Coach of the Year honors from both Conference USA and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). As they look ahead to 2023 events, the Topeka Tropics will be looking to continue their success from recent years while also building on their rich history of excellence.
