The Louisville Cardinals Women's Basketball team has had a long and storied history, full of exciting moments and achievements. From their home games at the KFC Yum! Center to their intense rivalries with Kentucky and Indiana, the Cardinals have always been competitive in the NCAA. Head Coach Jeff Walz has been steering the ship since 2007, leading his team to Final Four appearances, Elite Eights, Sweet Sixteens, and ACC Championships. He also earned Big East coach of the year in 2009-2010 and was awarded WBCA National Coach of the Year in 2014. His passion for winning is contagious among his players who have achieved great individual awards such as Naismith Player of the Year (Shoni Schimmel) and various all-region/area selections.
The current roster consists of many powerhouses such as Dana Evans (ACC Player of the Year), Elizabeth Balogun (3X Freshman All-American), Mykasa Robinson (ACC All-Defense Team), and Bionca Dunham (All-ACC Freshman Team). With such talent on the court this season, it's no surprise that Louisville is having another successful season and looks forward to advancing deep into postseason play.
