The Edmonton Stingers are a professional basketball team based in beautiful Edmonton, Alberta. Founded in 2019, the Stingers were one of the founding members of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The team plays their home games at the HIVE arena at the Edmonton Expo Centre, where they have quickly become one of the most popular teams in the league. The Stingers are powered by some of Canada’s top players such as guard Xavier Moon who was named First Team All-CEBL last season after averaging 17 points per game; forward Mamadou Gueye who had 10 rebounds per game last season; center Jordan Baker who had 1.8 blocks per game last season; guard/forward Travis Daniels who was named Defensive Player of the Year last season after averaging 2 steals per game; and forward/center Xavier Rathan-Mayes who had 7 assists per game last season. As they look ahead to 2023 events, Edmonton Stingers will be looking to continue their success from recent years while also building on their rich history of excellence.
