The Bucks were founded in 1995 as a charter member of the Northwoods League. They play their home games at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium, which opened in 2005 and has a capacity of 2,400 people. The team is currently owned by Dave Heller and Mike Zimmerman.
The Bucks have won the Northwoods League Championship four times, in 1998, 1999, 2004, and 2011. They have also made the playoffs twelve times.
Some notable former Bucks players include future MLB All-Stars Ryan Howard and Cole Hamels.
