Hawaii Warriors Baseball has a long and storied history of success. Founded in 1912, the Warriors have been playing baseball for over a century and have become one of the most successful programs in the country. The team plays its home games at Les Murakami Stadium, located on the University of Hawaii campus. Over the years, the Warriors have developed several rivalries with other teams in their conference, including Long Beach State, UC Irvine, and Cal State Fullerton. The Warriors have won numerous awards throughout their history, including two Big West Conference championships and five NCAA Tournament appearances. Trapasso has already made his mark on the program by leading them to a winning record in his first season as head coach and earning Coach of the Year honors from both Big West Conference and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). The Warriors are led by some of college baseball's top players such as outfielder Kameron Uyesaka who was named First Team All-Big West last season after hitting .326 with 10 home runs; pitcher Aaron Davenport who had a 2.50 ERA last year; catcher Jacob Sheldon-Collins who hit .337 with nine home runs; infielder Maaki Yamazaki who had 41 RBIs last season; and pitcher Dylan Thomas who had a 1.99 ERA last year. As they look ahead to the 2023 season, Hawaii Warriors Baseball will be looking to continue their success from recent years while also building on their rich history of excellence.
