Brian Michael Firkus better known by the stage name Trixie Mattel, is an American drag queen, television personality, and singer-songwriter originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Trixie is known for her appearances on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, as well as for co-hosting the web series UNHhhh and its Viceland follow-up The Trixie & Katya Show with fellow Drag Race contestant Katya Zamolodchikova. Trixie and Katya are two popular Drag Duos in the world. They've been on RuPaul's Drag Race, they have their own TV show, and they're just generally hilarious and fabulous. In June 2017, Mattel released her debut album Two Birds, followed by One Stone in October of the same year.
Both albums charted on Billboard's Top Heatseekers and Top Comedy Albums charts, with the latter reaching number two on the former. In 2018, Time included Mattel in their annual "Time 100" list of the most influential people in the world and released the lead single "Moving Parts" from her third studio album. Trixie has been praised for her comedic wit and her unique style of drag, which often includes elements of country music and the American Midwest. Brian Joseph McCook known by his drag persona Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova as Katya, is an American drag queen, actor, author, recording artist, and comedian. Zamolodchikova is best known as a contestant on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the second season of All-Stars. Zamolodchikova co-hosted the web series UNHhhh and its Viceland follow-up The Trixie & Katya Show with fellow Drag Race contestant Trixie Mattel.
Katya released a memoir in 2017 titled Hangover Helper and made her acting debut in the film Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate. In 2019, Katya announced that she was taking an indefinite hiatus from drag to focus on her mental health but released a book with Trixie about Modern Womanhood.
