Luis De Alba is a Mexican comedian, actor, and writer who has been entertaining audiences for over three decades. Born in Mexico City, Luis began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 1980s. In the early 1990s, he became one of the most popular comedians in Mexico. His comedy style consists of observational humor and witty one-liners that often make fun of himself and his life experiences. During this time, Luis also appeared on several television shows such as "Sábado Gigante" and "El Show de Cristina". In 2001, Luis released his debut album titled “Todos los Días es una Fiesta” which was an instant success. The album featured some of his most popular songs such as “La Vida es un Carnaval” and “Tengo Miedo de Perderte” which were both certified gold in Mexico. He followed up with two more albums: “Aquí Estoy Yo” (2003) and “No Me Digas Que No” (2006). Both albums were also successful with singles like “Cómo Te Extraño” and “No Me Digas Que No” becoming hits in Latin America.
Luis has also had great success on the big screen, starring in several films such as “Chicano Chicanery” (2005), “Los Hombres de Paco” (2009), and “The Big Lebowski 2: El Paseo de los Sueños Perdidos” (2012). He won Best Actor at the International Film Festival of Guadalajara for his performance in the film "Los Hombres de Paco". In addition to acting, Luis has written several books including "Donde Estan las Llaves?" and "El Cuaderno Azul". Luis De Alba announced he will be returning to the stage with a series of live comedy shows across Latin America in 2023.
