Larry The Cable Guy, a popular stand-up comic, actor, and radio personality has made quite the name for himself in show business. Born as Daniel Lawrence Whitney, he was raised in Pawnee City, Nebraska but soon moved to Florida and eventually settled in Texas. He started doing stand-up back in 1986 at various clubs around the Houston area and after just a few years his star began rising; he went on to become featured on the nationally syndicated radio show “The Ron & Ron Show” which helped him gain notoriety. In 2003, Larry found even more success with his famed TV show "Only In America With Larry The Cable Guy" which aired on the History Channel and provided an insight into rural American culture. It ran for four seasons until 2008. He continued doing live performances with comedians like Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White as part of their immensely popular Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
By 2009, most of his audience had outgrown cable TV and streaming services such as Netflix were gaining popularity so Larry changed his approach; adding to his already lengthy list of live acts, he also began making appearances on major late-night talk shows including "Late Show with David Letterman", "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" and many others. Larry continues to tour around the world performing comedy shows filled with wild stories about growing up in rural America that are often accompanied by musical numbers from his band The Stateline Boys - who serve as sidekicks during his sets - to keep everyone entertained. Alongside this, he's been busy producing comedy specials for Netflix and Disney+ including titles such as "We've Been Thinking...", "Remain Seated", and more recently released content called "Welcome To The Pallyhood".
