Firefly Music Festival is an annual event created by AEG Presents, with the first edition taking place in 2012 from July 20-22nd in Dover, Delaware. The event has been held at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway since 2013.
In 2018, the festival expanded to two weekends, with the first weekend taking place from June 14-17 and the second from June 21-24. This year's edition will feature headliners Eminem, Muse, Kendrick Lamar, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, and Odesza.
Over the course of three days, Firefly is held at The Woodlands of Dover Motor Speedway, a 105-acre (42 ha) festival area. With more than 100 concerts held throughout the festival in 2016, the event has featured several well-known musical acts from across the country.
In order to have "an open-air festival on the East Coast with plenty of outdoor camping," the festival organizers have been collaborating to set up the event at the current location. Up to seven stages have previously been present during the festival, including the Porch Stage, Lawn Stage, Backyard Stage, Treehouse, Coffee House, Pavilion, and Firefly Stage.
The event included six main stages in 2019 (the Firefly Stage, The Prism, The Lawn, The Hideaway, Treehouse, and The Roost), two sponsor stages (the Toyota Music Den and Bud Light Dive Bar), and one stage in each camping hub (North Hub Beach Club, South Hub).
