The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The group is composed of vocalist and pianist Karen O (born Karen Lee Orzolek), guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase. Since their formation, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released four studio albums: Fever to Tell (2003), Show Your Bones (2006), and It's Blitz! (2009) and Mosquito (2013). They have also released several EPs, singles, and a live DVD titled Tell Me What Rockers to Swallow. The band's debut album, Fever to Tell, was released in 2003 on Interscope Records. It peaked at number 114 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album spawned three singles: "Date with the Night", "Maps" and "Y Control". The single "Maps" earned them a Grammy Award nomination for Best Alternative Music Performance in 2004. In 2006, the band released their second album Show Your Bones which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA.
