Turnover is a popular alternative and post-hardcore band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Their sound has evolved over the decades and so has their lineup, which has seen some members go on to do other projects and form new bands. Through it all, one thing remains true — the passion for music that drives the band forward. Formed in 2009, the initial lineup saw Anthony Green (Saosin/Circa Survive) on vocals/guitar, Eric Soucy on drums, Casey Getz on bass, and Matt Fazzi (Taking Back Sunday) on guitar. This lineup released their first EP ‘Magnolia’ in 2011 before releasing their debut full-length album “Peripheral Vision” in 2015. This album featured singles like ‘Cutting My Fingers Off’ and ‘Dizzy On The Comedown’ that brought them attention from fans around the world. Throughout the years Turnover has released six studio albums, with their latest being 2021’s Altogether. They have also had multiple tours around Europe and North America, playing at major festivals such as Reading & Leeds in 2017.
In 2018, they won an Indie Music Award for Best Pop Punk/Emo Album of The Year due to their third album ‘Good Nature'. In addition to success on stage, Turnover is also an industry veteran who has gained recognition from numerous outlets including Pitchfork, NME Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, and Stereogum. They were even nominated for a mtvU Breaking Woodie award for the best underground artist in 2016. Their most recent single 'Lazy Jane' hit number 5 on Billboard Alternative Songs Chart back in March of this year marking a slight change towards more indie rock sounds compared to previous punk releases.
