The Fixx are a rock band from London, England founded in 1979. Originally formed as a new wave/post-punk quartet, the Fixx gained popularity in North America during the 1980s. Their best known hits are "One Thing Leads to Another", "Red Skies", "Saved by Zero" and "Are We Ourselves".
The band's original line-up consisted of Cy Curnin on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jamie West-Oram on lead guitar, Rupert Greenall on keyboards and Adam Woods on drums. Bassist Charlie Barrett was a later addition to the band.
The Fixx's first album, Shuttered Room, was released in 1982 and featured the singles "Stand or Fall" and "Red Skies". The album was not a commercial success, but the band gained a following in Canada and the United States.
The group's next album, Reach the Beach, was released in 1983 and became their most successful album. It featured the singles "One Thing Leads to Another", "Saved by Zero" and "Are We Ourselves". The album was certified platinum in the United States and Canada.
The Fixx's third album, Phantoms, was released in 1984 and featured the singles "Secret Separation" and "Sign of Fire". The album was not as successful as its predecessor, but still managed to go gold in the United States.
