Founded by Southside Johnny Lyon, the band has released over twenty albums, toured across the world, and won numerous awards. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes continued to release successful albums; At Least We Got Shoes (1980), Hearts Of Stone (1978), Reach Up And Touch The Sky (1985), Better Days (1991), Trash It Up (1995). These albums included some of their most iconic songs such as “Havin A Party”, “Hearts Of Stone”, “Broke Down Piece Of Man”, “Better Days” and “All I Needed Was You”. The band also experienced success outside of their studio albums; they have performed at festivals including Glastonbury Festival in 1989 and 1994, hailed as one of the best acts that year! They also toured extensively throughout Europe during this time period. In 2019, they celebrated forty-three years with a special anniversary tour that sold out venues worldwide.
