Skegss is an Australian pop punk band from Byron Bay, New South Wales. The band consists of Ben Reed (vocals/guitar), Toby Cregan (bass/vocals), and Jonny Lani (drums). Formed in 2013, Skegss released their debut EP ‘Surf Rat’ in 2014, followed by the full-length album ‘My Own Mess’ in 2016. Since then they have gone on to grace stages around the world, playing festivals such as Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Coachella. During this time they have earned a reputation for raucous live shows and ear-worm hooks that stay with you long after the gigs have ended. The band has received multiple awards during their career thus far, including Best Rock Album at the 2016 National Live Music Awards and Most Popular Live Act at Triple J's 2017 Radio Awards. Skegss' songs continue to be played on radio stations across Australia while several of their albums charted top 20 on ARIA Charts.
In 2019, Skegss signed a worldwide record deal with Warner Records releasing two studio albums 'Hurry Up And Wait' (2019) and 'Rehearsal', both of which saw high charting numbers globally, leading them to embark on sold-out tours leaving fans wanting more each time they left the stage. As well as achieving success with their music releases, Skegss has gone on to secure numerous impressive brand partnerships, collaborating with brands like Corona Beer and being featured in major campaigns alongside musicians like Snoop Dogg & Travis Barker. They’ve also collaborated with renowned street artist Rone to paint murals across Australia which saw the artwork woven into some of their recent music videos too!
