About Reverend Horton Heat

Reverend Horton Heat, the stage name of Jim Heath, is an American musician and singer-songwriter. He has been performing since 1985 and is considered one of the most influential psychobilly musicians in the world. His music combines elements of punk rock, country, surf rock, big band jazz, and rockabilly. His signature sound is characterized by his unique vocal style, guitar playing, and energetic live performances. Reverend Horton Heat's career began with the release of his first album Smoke 'Em if You Got 'Em in 1990. The album was a huge success and spawned several hit singles such as "Psychobilly Freakout," "Big Red Rocket of Love," and "Bad Reputation." He followed up this success with the release of his second album Liquor in the Front in 1994 which featured two top 40 singles - "Marijuana" and "I Can't Surf". This album also garnered him critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike. After touring extensively for his first two albums Reverend Horton Heat released Space Heater in 1998 to much commercial success. 

This album included fan favorites such as "Big Sky" and "400 Bucks". Following this release Reverend Horton Heat took a break from recording before returning with Revival in 1999 which featured some of his best work to date including "Lie Detector", "It's Martini Time" and "Let Me Teach You How To Eat". Reverend Horton Heat has released six studio albums since then which have all been met with critical acclaim. In 2003, he released Lucky 7 which featured some of his most popular songs such as "Nurture My Pig", "Big Little Baby" and "Hey Good Lookin'". His latest studio album Whole New Life was released in 2020 to high praise from fans and critics alike. The record includes tracks like “Zombie Dumb”, “Whole New Life”, “Goodbye Ghost Town”, and “Let Me Teach You How To Eat” among others. Reverend Horton Heat continues to tour extensively around the world bringing their unique brand of psychobilly music to fans everywhere! He will be embarking on a 2024 tour at The Depot in Salt Lake City Utah!
