Randy Bachman, the Canadian guitarist, singer, and songwriter, is a living legend in the music industry. He was a founding member of two iconic bands - The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive. His impressive career has seen him record as a solo artist as well as be part of several short-lived Randy Bachman bands such as Brave Belt, Union, and Ironhorse. Bachman’s career began in Winnipeg with his band The Guess Who in 1965. This group achieved immense success with their hit single “American Woman” which topped the charts in both Canada and the United States. The group also released other popular songs such as “These Eyes” and “No Time” which were certified gold in Canada. After leaving The Guess Who in 1970, Bachman formed the band Bachman–Turner Overdrive (BTO). BTO was one of Canada's most successful rock bands and had multiple hit singles including "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Takin' Care of Business", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 1975 Randy released his first solo album Axe, which featured another hit single “Hey You”. His second solo album Survivor followed shortly after in 1977. In 1984 he released Every Song Tells A Story which earned him a Juno Award for Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year. In 2000 Randy was inducted into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (as a member of The Guess Who) and the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame (as an individual). Randy continues to tour around North America performing his classic hits as well as some new material from his latest album By George – By Bachman which was released in 2020 to critical acclaim!
