Michael David Rosenberg, or "Passenger" as he is better known by his stage name, is an English singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for his work with the band Passenger. Michael David Rosenberg was born in London, England, on 17 May 1984. He grew up in a musical family and began playing guitar at the age of 15. He started writing his own songs soon after. In 2003, he attended University College Falmouth, where he studied music and songwriting. In 2004, Rosenberg formed the band Passenger with Andrew Phillips and Rich Ward. The band released their debut album, Wicked Man's Rest, in 2007. The album was well-received by critics and led to the band's first UK tour. In 2009, Rosenberg wrote and recorded the song "Let Her Go" with Andrew Phillips. The song was released as a single in 2012 and became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in many countries. Rosenberg has continued to write and record new music with Passenger, and the band has released six more albums: All the Little Lights (2012), Whispers (2014), Young as the Morning Old as the Sea (2016), Runaway (2018), Sometimes It's Something, Sometimes It's Nothing at All (2019), and Songs for the Drunk and Broken Hearted (2021).
