Mayday Parade is an amazing American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Since their formation in 2005, they have become one of the most successful and acclaimed acts in the scene. The six-piece formed when three members of the local band Kid Named Chicago left to start their own project and brought three more musicians with them: Derek Sanders, Jeremy Lenzo, and Alex Garcia. The new outfit soon released their debut EP ‘Tales Told By Dead Friends’ in 2006 under the name Mayday Parade and set out on a lengthy tour to support it. Their full-length debut LP ‘A Lesson in Romantics’ came out the following year and was awarded critical acclaim within the scene. The album featured such classic tracks as ‘Jamie All Over’ and ‘When I Get Home You’re So Dead’, which gained enormous popularity on Myspace at the time.
The next few years saw Mayday Parade release two more studio albums - 2009’s ‘Anywhere But Here’ and 2011's 'Monsters In The Closet'. Both registered chart successes around the globe and earned them even greater recognition among music fans worldwide. Since then, the band has released five more albums, including 2019's 'Sunnyland' which gained widespread critical acclaim showcasing fascinatingly unpredictable sonic pathways, fused with delicious melodies that have made them famous over the years. These releases have seen them perform across North America and Europe numerous times in non-stop tours that take place all year round. Throughout their career, Mayday Parade has won several awards for their music and live performances such as Kerrang! Magazine's Best International Newcomer Award (2008), Alternative Press Music Awards Song Of The Year (2009), XFM UK Rock Radio Award for Best U.S Band (2010), APMAs Album Of The Year Award (2017).
